My front sight base came from an A1 assembly before I installed a flat top upper. So I guess I better install the 040 post before I go to the range. I don't want to be post tinkering on the bench.

No, the FSB came off a Bushmaster C7/A1 upper. It's an A2 FSB 4 sided and all that.

My Bushy 20" did not need the taller post with an A.R.M.S. 40L.  YMMV.

You'll know when you sight it in.

Two of my 16" Bushmasters with ARMS 40L's also did NOT require the .040 taller sight post, even though ARMS said they would.
