| I am familiar with Leupold scopes and I have a Vari-x III 3.5-10x40 with two adjustment knobs. I am looking at a new Lupold scope and see that many of them have adjustable objectives lense and a parallax knob. I did a search and I don't understand the adjustable objective lense or the parallax knob because my other scope doesn't have them. |
| Go to the Leupold web page and they can explain what parallax is better than I can. In a nut shell, when you look thru your scope with the cross hair on a target, and you move your head left and right you can see the cross hair move off the target. Another example would be to close your left eye, point your finger at an object and keep your eye align with that object. Now close your right eye and open your left eye. You will notice that your finger is now to the right of the object. Parallax adjustments will fix this if you know the range to the target. |
