[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Aimpoint compM4 - mount height?

Is the integral mount the right height to cowitness with the irons without any spacers to buy? Does anyone know why there is no ML4 as I don't ever see myself needing a NVD(I guess $50 doesn't really matter at that point).
