I was on here awhile ago and was reading this thread about some scope (maybe an S&B short dot? I can't remember) that someone had dropped from a ladder onto grass, gravel, into a 55gal drum full of water, tied to their jeep and drove down the road, stuff like that. I've been looking for the thread but can't find it. Any help?
thanks,
Tom

that's why I couldn't find it, i kept looking in here. No, I just wanted to see it again, and now that I have my leupold Mark 4...I'm thinking about emialing them with a link to it, and seeing if they will keep my warranty if I choose to see if their scope is as durable and dependable...do y'all think that they will go for it?
Thanks
Tom

I doubt it but you won't know unless you try, however I'd call and ask them first if it would be covered under the warranty.  Also I might refrain from emailing a link to my thread when you send them an email, it actually might piss them off a bit. There is still a little bit of antimosity between Leupold and Premier Reticles over their fall out a couple of years ago so emailing a link to a thread where a competitor's/former partner's optic survived all kinds of crazy stuff might not help you.  I mean when they see that the optic is a Schmidt & Bender and the author of the thread lives in Virginia they could easily put two and two together to figure that it came from Premier Reticles.  I'm not telling you don't do it, all I'm saying is it might not have the effect you are looking for.
