***Newbie alert***![]() Okay, I'm starting to do those little customizing things {Ergo Grip, looking for laser. light, etc] and I figured I'd help my aging eyes with sights that light from Bushmaster on my Gas Piston model. The front sight tool they sold me made it easy. I did some archive seaching and found the pdf to dissable the entire rear sight. Before I start, iss this the procedure to go to and then turn around? ar15.com/content/manuals/TM9-1005-319-23.pdf Chapter 3 page 49 1. Drive out spring pin (1) using a hammer and 1/16 inch punch. 2. Catch rear sight assembly windage knob (2), helical spring (3), and ball bearing (4). 3. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, remove rear sight assembly windage screw (5) 4. Remove sight aperture (6) and flat spring (7) from upper receiver (8). Do I stop there and then reverse the p[rocedure? Thanks in advance, Walsh |
