It will cover up the three most rearward slots on the flat-top.
I think it's about 72-73mm long at the base.

+1

Most of the other brands BUIS only cover up one slot of the upper rail.

As you could see in my picture no problem with most Aimpoint mount when the mount is located at the most forward position.

The LMT BUIS can't be used with the LaRue EOTech QD mount because the LMT takes a lot of space on the rail, there's not enough room for the LaRue EOTech mount.

This is a pic of what NOT to do.  As you can see in the pic the LMT overhangs over the charging handle while the LaRue mount bridges over the upper and rail.

I really like the LMT but it does take up some room.  If real estate is an issue then I would recommend an ARMS40L folding or Troy folding site.

I've seen a couple pictures of ARs with the LMT rear sight in the correct place and the LaRue Eotech mount hanging off the end of the receiver, with standard plastic handguards or a rail that's not psuedo-monolithic like that one (including one in Mr. Fingar's latest screensaver). Would this be a problem? Does the Eotech mount clamp only in the back?
