before i get flamed, let me ask you guys' opinion on the 6x40 gov. it was free to me and just wondering who made them and are they an ok plinking scope?

I have a 6-20x56mm 3rd Gen.

I have heard many of complaints abotu the springfield line.

I must be lucky, cause i've had great luck with mine.

I was one of the unlucky ones. I would steer clear of Springfield scopes, IMHO. I had to resend it to be fixed. Once it arrived, same problem persisted: the damn reticle kept rotating in the tube.

Maybe the new ones are of better qualilty but I personally wont take that gamble.
