The ML3 is a newer generation. It gives longer battery life (about 5 times as much), is rated to a deeper submersion level (45 meters on M3 vs. 25 meters on M2) and has a replaceable rubber cover.

That's a description...not a question....(which gets asked twice a month)
Either one will serve you well. smaller Dot better for use with a magnifier . Do a search, look around.
