I had the 553 for a while and I ended up selling it to go back to a 512 on a Larue riser. I liked the batteries but the ARMS mount was too inconsistent and I couldn't deal with it anymore. One was tight and the other was loose, didn't work well IMO.

557 is basically a 553 with the controls on the side..
