OK.. So I have this flat-topped/rail-equipped 7.62mm rifle. Catch is that it's a top-loader, courtesy of CA's 'Evil rifle' laws, which means that I don't have a hell of a lot of room to play with between the rear sight and the stripper clip mount. I do have an Eotech that's not doing much right now, though using a close quarters sight on an FAL just doesn't seem right. Low-power scope would do nicely. (x4 at the top end) One of the 308 ACOGs might do, if I can actually find one with less than a 6-month lead time. Of course, AAFES only has 5.56mm versions, so I guess I'm paying tax... Anything much over a grand in price is out of the running, I'd rather go with less. I'm open to suggestions/recommendations. NTM |
