I only like 4x32 ACOGs, the 1.5 and 2x are almost like no magnification at all, in which case you might as well just go with an Aimpoint.  Bear in mind though, the 4x32 ACOGs have a short eye relief, 1.5", and placing anything on an A2 carry handle won't give you a good cheek weld.

With a 4x scope, targets from 50 to 300yds are easily identifiable, the TA01's fine cross hair is a good reticle for longer ranges, not so fast for close quarters.

I have a TA-50 which is the 3X mini Acog mounted a a carry handle, i drilled a hole farther back on the carry handle because of the short eye relief, it works great, i had a 1.5X Acog and didnt care for it, like he said you can just go with a Aimpoint or Eotech instead and have more field of view.

UPS just brought my TA01NSN an hour ago and I slapped it on my new 20" Flat-top.

I know: the TA01NSN was developed for and has a BDC calibrated for a 16" barrel, but everything I've read suggests to me that if you're a good enough rifle shot to tell the difference you don't need to have a BDC anyway!
