I have a BM A2 and a recent trip to the range left me with melted plastic handguards. Now I'm getting MI two piece handguards and i would like to know which mount would be the best for mounting an aimpoint to the handguards rather than a gooseneck mount
I was looking at the larue LT-150 but I'm not sure if this is tall enough. I have seen very few pictures of a setup like this, but I have seen them, maybe there's a good reason?

I would not recommend mounting optics to the MI two piece HG’s. The free float MIs might be better suited.
