It's all too common for disgruntled individuals to post their negative experiences on the internet, and perhaps neglegent of us not to post positive experiences with those whom we deal with. I recently purchased a Nikon Monarch 6x42 from SWFA for my .270. When the scope arrived, there was some paint missing from the horizontal reticle. I called, received a return authorization # and sent it off. When it arrived there, I decided I wanted to try one of their factory refurbished Conquests. When the Zeiss arrived, the adjustments on the top turret were quite messed up and would not adjust. Another call, another return. I then decided to forgo another Conquest and get a 1.25-4 Trijicon Accupoint for my AR. They took $50 off the price and threw in a pair of Butler Creek flip-ups. Although I received two defective scopes, they could easily have lost patience with my change of mind. I am quite happy with my experience at SWFA. |

Thanks for the report. I've heard good thinks about SWFA over the years. Not to hijack your thread or anything but can you give me the sizes of the Butler Creek flip-ups that fit your 1.25-4 Accupoint? The BC web site chart I found doesnt list that particular scope and I have one on the way this week Thanks, John |

John, The objective is 02, the eye is 13. Both are tight. I LOVE the Accupoint. The glass is clear. It is clearer than my Leupold VXII and Burris FFII. It is on par with the Nikon Monarch I had, which is quite good. I'm pleased that the tritium actually works in the dark too, past when it is too dark to see the target. I've got the red reticle, and it stays red in complete darkness. I was also surprised at how effective the fiber optic is at illuminating the reticle. The reticle will take some getting used to only because I'm used to crosshairs, but it is obviously very quick. I think it is the best of both worlds--varible power, very quick on target, and has an illuminated reticle that is not dependent on batts. I imagine you will be as pleased with yours as I am with mine. What color reticle did you order? |

Thanks for the BC cover sizes C.Y. I ordered the red, it should be here by Friday. I remember reading somewhere that the red was best for daytime use. A few years ago a good friend of mine had a 3 x 9 with the red chevron & it was very nice. I just picked up my first AR-15 half an hour ago John |
