Just saw this myself in my copy of Guns and Ammo - then did a ARFCOM search. Sure looks promising. From the picture in my magazine, I'm guessing the housing is metal. The bigger question for me is if they used glass for the lense. Questionable...at that price point? I'll buy one immediately if it at least has a metal housing and can use the readily available Optima/Jpoint/Dr. Optic mounting options. The only other thing is I wish is that they didn't have lettering all over it...or made the lettering/text much smaller and not WHITE in color. |

Info is now on Burris's website: www.burrisoptics.com/fastfire.html Comes with a Pic mount and is 4 MOA. It also indicates that the lenses are GLASS! Sounds like the hot ticket in MRDs.... |
Ya'll need to snap out of it. I don't see a price on that Guns & Ammo page and I'll be darned if I can google one up either. ![]() ML ETA - Scollins, go back and tell us what price is on that page for the Burris. |
From the article: "...And, finally, for the speed-conscious pistoleros, Burris has a new heads up optical sight called the Fast Fire. Suggested retail is $229." Looks like $229 to me. |
Dammit, you copied me before I could change my stupid post. Oh well. fine, I'm in. Send me mine. ML |
Might put an end to your supply problems? ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=289824 Looks like a neat product if the batteries hold up... |

Below is an e-mail I received from Burris: Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2007 08:10:55 -0700 From: "Customer Service" <[email protected]> To: xxxxxxx Subject: RE: FastFire Red Dot Sight All headers Mr. xxxxxxx The FastFire should be readily available on the market by the end of this month. Thank you, Burris Company |
Well... dang ... our work is already done then. |

Was trying to find some more info and found it listed on Cabela's website for $199.99. Fastfire Cabela's |
+1 on wft....and apparently I have been slumbering like Rumplestiltskin... M. LaRue |
it will be too high to co witness imho. |
|
Does the coating on the lens really make it look gold colored or is that just exaggerated for the advertisement? I'm thinking of getting one in lieu of a Doctor Optic for a "project" ETA - Looking at Larue's webpage, I think i answered my own question. How about another? What is the difference between the Gold FastFire at Cabela's vs the a plain old Fastfire? |
