Do any of the lucky souls who got their hands on the first round of Specter Drs have any feedback on it? Is it worth holding off on buying another brand and waiting for the next round to come available? If not, I will probably go the way of EO Tech + magnifier or Trijicon + Docter Thanks. |

I love mine! I got it from a board-member. It has the best of all in 1 scope- 1x to 4x with the flip of a knob, ACOG like crosshairs, red dot or illuminated threads, integrated ARMS mount. The only downside is that is one heavy piece! A bit pricey, but when you consider how much an aimpoint plus the aimpoint 3x and the mounts needed, it is close, and you still won'e have the cross-hairs and speed of switching zoom. read the review on this board. It is a great review |

Very happy with mine- Fit the rail on my S&W M&P fine, used the DR back-up sights to get the optic on paper so they are accurate enough to hit where you point. Red dot is great for middle-aged eyes either on 1X or 4X. Haven`t shot yet at any distances over 200 yards so can`t comment on the bullet drop feature. Not finding any change of point of aim/point of impact when switching back and forth between 1X and 4X. I had planned on waiting to get a optic on this rifle later rather than sooner and had hoped that the Specters would be easier to find then. When they became available here from MSTN I jumped in and was luckey enough to get one- (something about a bird in the hand) I have an ELCAN C79 on a full lenght AR and am very impressed with ELCAN`s optical quality overall so may be a little biased. The Specter certainly is worth the money, there isn`t any other sight (that I know of) like it as far as the features it has. I believe it`ll become very popular in 3 gun and practical rifle if they become easier to get. I would say hold off a bit and see if any more Specters come up for sale again. |

I thought I'd like it until I actually put it on my gun. You really need to shoot NTCH in order to use it best, and I don't. For my tastes the Meopta 1-4x works better as it has greater eye relief and allows me to assume a more natural shooting position. Also, for me, I'm able to shoot better with both eyes open when I'm back a bit from the scope. YMMV. It's got great glass, though, and seems to be built like a tank. |
