took me about a mag (20) to get it in center

I put it on my flat-top, "bore sighted" it using the iron sights, then three or four shots to fine tune it on paper.  

I know it's not ideal, and I NEED to get another EOTech soon, but I can switch it between my 14.5" midlength and my 9mm AR by re-zeroing with the irons again.  Who says "cowitness" is useless.

FYI, we sighted a bunch in at our department, and the consensus was that they tended to  be several feet high at 50 yards right out of the box
