ive been reading and looking at a lot of pics for the last couple days and i still havent foudn any definateive answers for these.... does it matter or is it just user preference where an aimpoint is mounted, for fast aqcuizition and cqb wouldn't you want it mounted farthest away like on a railed forearm? the most ive seen are mounted at the very end of the upper, which is where mine is only because its easy to take it on and off and use the same slot. also, a lot of people are useing arms or larue mounts, ive used a larue 1.5 so i know their products rock, but my aimpoint came as the military version, with TM and everything, so it came with a twist cam operated mount, i haven't seen anyone else useing this but if its good enough for the military shouldn't it be good enough for me, or should i not expect a repeat zero with this mount? no i haven't taken it out and shot it yet, ive been cleaning the bore of my new upper |
