ARF: I see a lot on the "box test" when the savants and outdoor writing guys review scopes and run their analyses. I would like to hear from you guys as to the "real" world meaning of this test. What say you? Billy |

Hi Billy, The box test is a good test to do to see how well a scope turrets track but you have to do it multiple times at 100yds just to verify. The box should be a good size 15” x 15” or bigger. The bigger the box the more you will able to tell if the turret system has an accumulative error to it. In the REAL WORLD this is good to know because if it does not track properly at un-known shooting distances the harder it will be to correct for the shot. The box test does not really play a big part in hunting scopes and in most combat scopes. Most hunting scopes and combat scopes (Aimpoint, EoTech, and ACOGS) you zero them in and do not adjust the turrets from shot to shot. Hope this helps and that I made sense, Mike @ CSGW www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks What do YOU have to say about CS GunWorks What Do You Think Of Cs Gunworks?
