hey guys, i dont have any local dealers around me who have an eotech on hand for me to look at. what eotech's do you recomend as far as battery type? which one would last the longest the n cell or the what is it aaa batterys? and which one is shorter and which one is longer? by the length i mean the base, i see some pics on here and some are shorter then others. thanks for the help everyone

ETA - In addition to the post below, the new 553 is shorter, runs on 123 batteries, and sits a bit higher.

AA battery life is considerably longer, its also the longer model. Its only a little bit more money wise but is well worth the extra for the battery life. The short models are the 511 (n batts), the longer ones are the 512 (AA batts).

+1 and the 551 are the NV compatible N cell batts and the 552 are the NV AA batts

don't waste your money on the NV models unless you plan on dropping 1500-3000 on NV
