What is the proper technique in mounting & using the EOTech? specifically the 512. I've noticed that I can changed my position just a little bit and the red dot moves too This noob needs a little hlep

Thats how they are supposed to work. Regardless of where the reticle is in the viewfinder the bullet will hit there --assuming you sight it in properly for that distance

The fact that you dont have to have your head in a certain position and that it will hit where the recticle points regardles of where it is in the finder is the beauty of the Eotech. Makes for much faster target aquisition

I agree. Stop using it like a scope. Look through it while moving the muzzle, notice that the reticle stays pointed where the barrel points.

thanks guys...i really hate all these noob q's I've been asking, but I'm really glad there are so many here that are so knowledgeable & willing to share that knowledge w/o getting superior about it like so many other forums out there.

O, one more thing. Since that is the way the EOTech is suppose to work, do I need to sight it in?

Yes, you must sight-in before it will work properly.
