I'm looking for a mid-range priced optic for my AR15. I just want something I can use this hunting season in the $150-250 range. I'm checking the cheaper than dirt catalog and I see a lot of good looking Bushnell optics for a good price. What kind of quality are the Elite series? Is this the best bang for your buck optic?

I have an 10x40 Elite 3200 w/ target turrents and MIL dot. I have been using it for about 3 months, and have fired about 1000 rounds of different ammo with it. I have also been adjusting the crap out of it, and the POI still tracks with every adjustment.

The adjustment clicks are (so far) solid.

It is a great scope for the price(<$200)

Thanks for your reply. I was looking into an Elite 3200 with the Firefly retical. It was rated at 3-9x40mm IIRC. I think CheaperThandirt had it for about $206. Seems like a quality optic. It's also shock, fog, scratch, and water resistant and comes with a no questions asked 1-yr replacement warranty. Would this optic be good out to 250-300 yards?

I have an Elite 4200 with the Firefly reticle it is more marketing that miracle.  The firefly does work, but not for very long, and the reticle is very thick.

Great scope though.  Very nice glass and a lifetime warrant.  The 3200 is probably the best scope in your price range.  Check out bearbasin.com.

Is the 3-9x40mm enough power or should I take a step up? I wanted the FireFly reticle just because people tell me I want a bright display, but I wouldn't mind one of the other reticles as long as the optic won't go dim on me.

I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9 duplex. It's a nice piece of glass.

One scope I've been looking at lately is a Leupold VX-I 3-9x with LR Duplex.

Both are about the same price, but I'm really thinking about grabbing the Leupy.

What do you use your optics for? What reticle do you have? Any brightness problems? What kind of distance do you shoot normally?

I have a3200 and a VX-1 and the 3200 is visably clearer than the leupold.  NO more overpriced Leupolds for me.
