| Does anyone have any experience with the ACOG TA01 clone offered by 1337 Tactical? How about the Aimpoint clones they offer? I want something for my RRA Entry Tactical, but don't want to get a POS. I'm not LEO, and the rifle isn't going into combat. It would be used for plinking and general all-around shooting. Where I'm at, CYA is a Glock 36 and a short-barreled shotgun, the M1A and FAL cover everything else. Thanks for the help! John |

I do. I love my Facog. I've shot close to 1,000 rounds with it mounted and it's holding zero. Optically it's not a true ACOG, I've done a side by sde with one, but it's a slick little scope. The emergency irons are OK, too. So far so good. Someday I'll be able to justify the cost of an ACOG, but I'm not a soldier any more. Besides, I keep a Tac-Point on my "fighting" rifle.

That's blasphemy!!!! Hey, do you got a pic of this thing on your rifle? |

I have buy 3 acog clone, 1 for me, 1 for my brother and a 1 for my friend on 1337tactical.com At this time i have no-problem with this scope. The lense are the much clear and aiming reticule of sight much thin one. I am sure that you can buy it without problems http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/9313/acog1pianocb5.jpg |

Thanks for all the replies! Bottom line, the ACOG clone is a $160 4x scope. I have an old 4x32 Tasco that has sat atop my M77 7mm Mag for over 10 years and it has never let me down. I've dumped that kind of money into dumber things (according to wifey), so I think I'll take the plunge. I'll let you know how things work out. Again, thanks for all the help! John |
| Well, a buddy just bought one and I would be hard pressed to tell the difference optically between it and my real ACOG. No real Tritium, that's a start. Build seems different, not neccesarily inferior. But just looking through the scope, I'd say, "not bad". Click adjustments BTW. Have no way of knowing if the BDC is on or not, or what it is calibrated for. |
| I was interested in one of these. I believe they are made by G&P. What concerns me is that if you do a search on airsoft dealer websites they state that the G&P ACOG is for toy guns only. They don't put that disclaimer under all the other scopes they sell. And they don't have any ax to grind. |
It's a clone Docter from 1337 tactical and a daniel defense mount from ADCO. I had to modify the mount a little - it's pretty easy. I can email you pics if you want. I should add that the clone DR. is made from aluminum and steel. The lens is glass - not plastic like the J-Point and Tasco Optima. |
Sorry, no range report yet. We're going to try and ge out next week. The fake Dr. comes with a weaver mount but in order to mount it on the ACOG you need to buy a special Dr./ACOG mount. I bought the Daniel Defense version but there are lots of companies making them now. |
Can you email me the modification pics too? I'm considering the same setup. Thanks. |
No problem. Anyone who wants the modification pics please PM me with you email address. |
anything special needed to mount it on the carry handle. a special screw or something? |
There was a 4x scope on the site the other night but there wasnt a picture to go with it. For a while the 'facog' was listed then it disappeared... Also the ebay store and the regular store seem to have different items at times.. good luck |
