I have a 552 Rev F.

I have a friend who does a lot of training with different instructors.  He says that a number of the instructors have said that EOTechs have some real durability issues.

Reticles that shut off after you shoot and don't reapear for 3 seconds.  Wandering zero's.  Outright failure.

How are they doing in the box?  Looking for real info if its available, not "The military uses them so they must be awesome"

How does their reliability compare to an Aimpoint?

They don't take the abuse of an Aimpoint, but lets not kid anyone, as I've seen boxes of useless Aimpoints as well.

How far apart are they in reliability?

My understanding is the Revision F is very close to the Aimpoint in reliability and far ahead of the older EoTech models.

Older Eotechs?  What is older?  July? or like the 510/511?  I'm on the verge of picking one up myself & I'd like to know things like this before I pick one up

Older meaning pre-revesion F.
