I have just about made up my mind to purchase an NSN model, I am tracking that the "standard" NSN model comes with the yellow illumination The NSNFLR is the only model made with the red illumination within the NSN models right? I am pretty much sold on the NSN for a couple of reasons, just not high on the yellow--anyone have any feedback on their experiences with their NSN? Thank you for the help. |

I have one and its on a weapon that fits the scope. IE its a 14.5 1/7 twist barrel. Ive shot it alot at night with my PVS-7's, and am happy with it. If you dont have a 14.5 1/7 and NVG's there are probably other scopes that might fit what you want to do. Or not........... With practice you can shoot with it at CQB distances, using both eyes open quite easily. |
| Since TA01NSN has no BAC, the tritium lit center reticle looks black along with the rest of the christmas tree, until low light sets in. TA01 and the FLR model seem to share the full lit reticle, the entire christmas tree is lit in low light, unlike the NSN where only the center is. |
thanks for the reply...that is what i intend to build--a 14.5 upper... how well does the reticle work without NVGS? is it still visible to the naked eye? |
the NSN only comes in yellow though, right? i would LOVE an ACOG that had the just the center in red...i dont think that they make one like that though thank you for your help |
