I have an Aimpoint mounted in a ARMS #22M68. I recently mounted it on a rail I purchased from HALO mfg for my PS90 and noticed that it does not stay in place very well. There is a lot of play moving front-to-back. I moved it up and down the different slots in the rail and noticed this movement on each one. This isnt the first time. My M1A has the SAGE stock and the same ARMS wouldnt lock down on that rail. On my AR15, with the SIR - the ring locked perfectly (imagine that!). Is this a known limitation with ARMS? If so, what is a better set of rings I could get for my Aimpoint? LaRue? Thanks in advance for your input. |

THANKS! I guess I'm going to have to can the ARMS and go with LaRue. To be honest, I purchased all ARMS but I havent been satisfied with any of my rings (#22). I noticed the allen-screws wear VERY easily. My Remington 700, Springfield M1A, and Bull-barrel AR15 all use ARMS mounts with worn allen screws. I called and asked for replacements but never received them. I sent an email and got a confirmation they were going to be sent, but nothing. Oh well. so much for customer service. I hope La Rue's service is a tad better and their rings tighter. I hate to invest this much of my own money into over-hyped equipment again. |
