Now i know this isnt a super high quality scope.  But i am looking for a very innexpensive scope at the moment until I am finsished buting my ar-15 and find a reason to spend 300$ on a scope.

Now i have noticed that most people here refer to barska scopes and chineese junk, but this scope is almost twice as much as the barksa's equivlent.
Im not looking to the best scope, just a vari-zoom scope that i can work with.

My experience with Tasco hasn't been very good...and I can almost guarantee you that anything over about 12 or 14x on that scope won't be very clear or bright.

What's that thing going for these days?

I had the 2.5-10x version and liked it quite a bit.  It was on a .22lr that I sold a while ago.  I agree with the above poster that a high magnification like 6-24x might not be the best for a cheap scope like this.  I would recommend the lower magnification - mine was crystal clear and the mildots were great for varying ranges.  Also, I found a setting I liked (8x) and kept it there.  The POI has a tendency to shift if you mess the magnification settings, but if left alone it's good to go.
