I just got a deal on an Aimpoint and need to get a mount. I do not want to co witness with the front site. I'd like it slightly above. Thanks in advance. Matt |

If you use the LaRue mount, the irons will appear in the bottom or lower 1/3rd of the Aimpoint window. So the dot will be above the front sight post. Most others will place the irons in the center of the window, or close to it. LaRue makes a straight mount and a cantilever. Both put the optic at the same height. So you will see the front sight tower in the optic, but at the bottom with minimal impact on your sight picture. If you practice with both eyes open, after a while you will get to the point whereyou will not notice the front sight tower. |
