| Going to be installing a DD 9.0 in the near future. What are you guys using to install them? Do people use strap wrenches? Not too keen on spending 40 bucks from DD to buy their proprietary tool. Thanks guys. |

I use the Heavy Duty (metal handle, silver color) strap wrench from Sears. Works great. I don't know WTF DD is thinking charging $40 for a fricking small wrench. I should have my friend machine a few and sell them for $10 each. Then again, based on the price of their rails ($589 for the new RAS II? Come on...), $40 is par for the course for them. They've always been overpriced IMO and I'll only buy DD stuff if it's heavily discounted... Also, this is the wrong forum for your question.
