Is there a way to focus the red dot of the Aimpoint Comp-series? I've noticed that the dot is somewhat irregluar, even at intermediate brightness settings. thx |

There is no focus adjustment on the occular of the Aimpoint. What you are seeing is the distortion of the LED in relation to the internal lens and LED position. For some reason its appears worse in some Aimpoints than others. The rhyme and reason is not commonly known but it has been well noted over the years. What is appearent though is if you feel your dot is not a clear 4 MOA dot that is reason to return your sight for warranty repair providing you purchased the sight from a factory dealer and are the original owner. But before you send your sight back make sure the sight has been tested with perfectly new batteries. Meaning the correct voltage cells. Thats the first thing they will do. If it appears bright and clear to them you get it back with a note. JohnM at Home |
