[ARCHIVED THREAD] - BUIS compatibility

Does anyone know if a Troy or ARMS #40 BUIS will work with an LMT upper and a Colt M4A1 barrel? I just looked over the BUIS FAQ and noticed that some front sights might not be lined up when using certain uppers, etc.

Yes they will both work fine. Not sure what you mean by not lined up. Do you mean the towers are not the correct height?

If that is what you mean then yes sometimes you will need to get a taller front sight post. Bushmaster sells the taller post for 5 bucks.
