[ARCHIVED THREAD] - mounting an eotech

what is the best way to mount an eotech onto a non removable carry handle so i can still use the iron sights that are on it, should i put it on top or just get an offset mount that would put it just in front of the carry handle but still allow you to see the iron sights through the eotech, any suggestions.

Offset mount or put it on a LT handguard. Otherwise it will be way the hell too high for a cheek weld, and you will have something like 3+ inches of offset when shooting at short distances.

how well will it work with an offset mount that puts it farther out in front of you

Buy something like this and put it in the front.

what make and model is that mount,and is it a see through for iron sights

It will work just fine. Heavy, but fine. Option 3 would be to spend $90 on a CMT upper receiver and switch to flat top, then sell the A2 receiver or trade it for a BUIS. Thats what I would probably do, but I didn't think of it earlier.
