[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Matech BUIS

I'm building an SDM-R rifle and need to find a Matech 600m BUIS. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Check the EE, they show up every so often as well as Ebay.

Be advised though they are stolen .mil property and needed by troops. Every one sold is one less out there for a guy in the field. They are not commercially available.

I bought one off ebay about a year or so ago and resold it before I was made aware of that issue.
Many people who have them are not aware it's not on the civvie market.

Can anyone recommend an alternate BUIS since the Matech is not really an option?

I just built a rifle for a coworker, we put an ARMS 40A on there and it's of dramatically nicer than the YHM I run.

There are alot of very nice BUIS out there. Check out the BUIS FAQ on the site.

I would recommend the KAC 200-600m Flip-Up Rear Sight.

The Troy is the best - far more durable than the Matech. The ARMS#40 series is also really good.

However if you must have elevation adjustments, the best of the bunch is the KAC 600M (it's better than the Matech).
