Hey guys! New here and enjoying the wealth of information..

I have purchased a front flip up sight to replace the fixed sight on my Rock River. How difficult is this process of should this be a job for an armorer?

Any information would be appreciated!

What kind? Barrel mounted or rail mounted?

Railed gas block? PRI and Troy make such a sight, just make sure you specify gas block mounted, as it is a taller sight than the FF rail mounted variants.

The mount I am installing is a barrell mounted, gas block, Yankee Hill flip up front sight..

My question is, how do I mount it? Do the pins just pop straight out of the stock unit? They appear to go "through" the barrell.

Help please!

Look on the do it yourself area. There are very detailed pictures on how to remove the sight unit, block, etc.....look for the threads about installing free float tubes.....good info there....
