Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about zeroing an Aimpoint M3

My current set up is a LaRaue LT150 mount, an Aimpoint M3 and my LMT BUIS is zeroed using the IBZ.  I was wondering if I placed the red dot from the aimpoint on the top of the front sight post, will it zero it?  I know that this is not the appropriate way to zero an aimpoint but I don't have access to my complete rifle or a rage at this moment.

i usually just zero to the irons and then verify at the range later.
