| Tonight I was able to take the time and mount the EoTech on the SEBR and the reticle in the EoTech was fuzzy, is this normal, or will it clear up and produce a sharp circle with use? |
Try turning down the adjusting the power level. If its too bright it tends to be fuzzy. |
Will have to mount the ARMS 40L/SP and give it a try

Mine was fuzzy until I learned I needed glasses. Now it is sharp if I look at a far away target. The holographic reticle is designed to be sharp when you look through it, not at it. It will always have 'laser speckle' though. That is a kind of graininess that is characteristic of a hologram. |
The question about the EOTech reticle being "fuzzy" keeps popping up on the forum. I have posted the following picture several times as it best shows how the EOTech reticle should look when viewing a target. In this picture the reticle is a little too bright and is causing some blooming, or halo, effect. If the brightness were turned down a couple of notches, it would look a little sharper. You will notice how the reticle is in sharp focus with the target vehicle, while the front sight post at the bottom of the image is out of focus. This is one of the advantages of the holographic sight. The human eye works just like this camera lens. The reticle remains in focus with the target so both of your eyes can literally stay focused on the threat during actual combat and not on the front sight post.
