A quick little background info: I built an M4gery with collapsible stock, BUIS and a solid one piece mount with an Aetec scope. It all fits.. barely. I also have an OKO red dot that I have used previously. On a hunt last weekend, I had the red dot mounted and the way things worked out, the shooting distances were not going to be as close as anticipated, so I re-mounted the Aetec. Luckily I checked, because it was off by about 8"!
So the 'return to zero' capability of both the Aetec and the red dot are not MOA. So I am thinking about mounting both with the OKO perhaps on the forearm at 45* on the right side.
First - is that a viable option and second, what type of mount can I use on a round aluminum handguard? FYI if I use the red dot it will be at very close range probably on hogs, thus the want to have both... I don't want to be in heavy cover with a 3X scope, but I need the capability to reach out past 100yds on smaller targets.
Any advice?
Many thanks
