I just purchased a TA31F ACOG for a 20" Bushmaster Flat top AR, in reading the nomenclature it comes with a picatinny mount for the rail. Is the supplied mount any good or should I consider the purchase of an aftermarket - which seems to be what many shooters in this forum opt for. Thanks for your input.

Supplied mount is fine. If you want to remove and install the scope then get a QD type mount. LaRue, Arms both make good mounts, I perfer the LaRue much better quality.

Agree. If you want to remove your ACOG and have it repeat zero then get a LT Standard ACOG mount.

What if you don't want to remove the ACOG again? What would be the best mount for that?

either are good mounts but the supplied mount does not cost extra.

but your not going to remove it so as long as it locks onto the upper once you wont have a problem since there will be no wear and tear from removing and installing it.

the ta51 which comes supplied with it and does not cost a penny extra since it is included would be the best option.

free+included+already installed+trijicon supplies it= good
