How do guys like the ARMS 40L? I am thinking about replacing my Troy with one...Is it lower or higher in profile when folded?
Can anyone explain to me about the same plane apeture option to me...I am assuming the they both have dual flip up apertures right?

The ARMS #40 is a nice sight. I have a few. The Troy sits slightly lower though. Having a same plane app means that your point of impact wont change when switching between the large and small apps. The Troy already has a same plane app, you can get the ARMS #40L with or without it.

the question will be if the #40L will sit below a ARMS22 or Larue tactical scope mount with a Leupold scope with out getting hit

Yes it will Its low enough profile for those Im pretty sure.
I just sold my TROY BUIS and am going back to an ARMS#40L SP.
The TROY is a nice site and it has a strong following on this board, many like them and go on about the strength of the site as compared to the ARMS Units. Although I agree it may be the strongest folding site made, Up until I got a TROY I had never  EVER had an issue with strength and an ARMS #40. I had one that had to be sent back to ARMS for adjustment because the windage had to be set all the way right to zero on my Upper. They sent me a new one and never had a problem. Heck I had to do the same thing with the TROY on a different upper.
The TROY is a GREAT BUIS But I Prefer the ARMS#40 L SP mainly beacuse of the way it deploys, Its fast and easy. Ive seen both sites have their problems and it all gets down to what you like best. To me its ease of deployment with the spring loaded base. (Oh and Im sure someone will say" wait until that breaks on you") If that happens, Id say I have more to worry about that my site. good luck
