I read in a mag that Horus makes parts or peices that are used in Schmidt&bender and US optics.  Is there any truth to that info?

thanks

Horus (owner) is a reticle inventor.
They sell Horus-branded scopes which are made in Japan.

Horus reticles have been developed for and installed into S&B, USO and Leupold scopes.

1. S&B. Horus can sell you an S&B scope with their reticle
You can send your S&B scope to Horus for reticle retro-fit. Only 4-16x50 models.
It costs about $500, work is performed by Premier Reticles and lead time is between 2 weeks and 2 months

2. Leupold. Similar to S&B. They can install a Horus reticle for $500 in a limited number of riflescopes and spotting scope

3. USO can sell you 2 models with Horus reticles, they may ask you to make a separate payment for the reticle to Horus first.
