My friend just swapped out his old A2 upper for a flat-top and wanted to know some recommendations for scope mounts.  I'm pretty sure he'll use a 1" tube, with standard optics possibly a 50mm objective.

We put on my Armalite mount setup with a 3x9-40 and the objective barely cleared the bbl.  He said it was a bit 'low' for cheek weld, thus wanting a bit higher scope mount.

Any ideas for a higher ring mount?  How about some of the accessory rails as a spacer?

All comments/namebrands/part numbers welcome!
Thx-

I used Warne ultra high QD rings to mount my Mueller 4-16X50.

Perfect height for cheek weld and to clear my Troy BUIS.  Just barely had enough room on the flat-top for proper eye relief however.  YMMV

Great rings that are not too expensive.
