| I am considering purchasing optics for my RRA flat-top upper, most likely an EOTech sight. I have a removable BUIS, and I was wondering if generally the BUIS is left on after the optics are mounted or if it is typically removed if you can. I know that some people leave the iron sight on in case the batteries fail, but I am worried about leaving it on and having the sight obstruct my vision when I am aiming. I know that some people leave it on so they can co-witness the optics and the BUIS but I am not sure whether or not the BUIS would be distracting. |

if you get the eotech then it wouls mount to the rear sight/mount. think thats the whole reason for the dominator. with anything else you would have to remove it or get some other type of buis. normally you would leave the buis on the upper either behind or under(folding buis) the optic and that being said the eotech and aimpoint allow co-witnessing which means they work with or without the rear buis deployed shameless plug for mike@csgunworks, great guy to deal with! |
