[ARCHIVED THREAD] - RAS II with EOTECH

Has anyone tried mounting a 511.A65 Eotech (the n battery kind) on the KAC RAS II with a rear BUIS? Specifically, anyone try to mount the Eotech on the upper receiver instead of the "hump"? I'm trying to decide whether the RAS II would be ok for me.

You may be able to get it to work, but it wont be very ideal. If you had to you could probably fit it, but I would rather use a different rail to get the EoTech out a little further.

I think the Eotech is perfect on the "hump" of the RAS II. It puts the dot right where I want it. Back up sights are just that, back up. I keep the thumb screw on the Eotech, If it should fail, I can pull it off and use my irons. Ive used the M4 in combat and I personally think this cowitnessing business is a bunch of armchair commando crap...
