Okay, this is probably a dumb question.  I'll ask anyway.

.750 Barrel Diameter With opposing Screws is for a barrel with flats milled to clamp against.

.750 Barrel Diameter With Clamp Screws will fit on an otherwise stock barrel and just clamps into place.

Is that correct?  Is there something else I am missing?

Thanks.

Realize there are two styles of cross bolt PRI sights.  One has the bolts pass through the barrel profile and will require some barrel material removal for proper installation.  The other has the cross bolts pass completely under the barrel and no barrel work is required.

I'm thinking the one with the crossbolts that pass under the barrel is the newest style and the one you would likely get if purchased new, but you should ask before you buy.

I have both types installed on two different barrels.

The set-screw type is a pain the arse to install and align, but, it is very solid (since the screws rest in the dimples/slots under the barrel).

The clamp-on type is very easy to install and align. In theory, it is not as solid as the set screw model. In theory, the sight could be knocked out of alignment if hit hard enough to overcome the clamping force.

When I was buying my second one, I debated on which type to get (the first was the set-screw type). Wes of MSTN told me that they only use the clamp-on and have had zero complaints from their customers in the Sand Box. Thus, I purchased the clamp-on model and have not looked back...

Go with the clamp style and you will not regret it.
