How far is this scope good out to? Will be using it on an AR15 flat top. I take it this scope is not like the Trijicons in that you have differing types for differing calibre and barrel lengths?

The ML2 is 1x magnification which is what your eye can see. It's distance therefore is whatever you can see with the bare eye. Of course, the 4 MOA dot will start to cover more and more of the target depending on distance.

I had no problem making COM hits at greater than 200 yards with my ML2 on a 16" carbine.  At that range though, the dot really does start to cover up the whole target.

The newer M3/ML3 Aimpoints are offered with a 2-MOA dot if you prefer.  I still like the 4-MOA dot myself.

You are correct, there is no calibration for bullet drop.
