Looking for the ballistics table used in the calibration of the .308 BC cams for scopes. Basically I want to compare the trajectory of one of my wildcats to the 308 trajectory in those tables, to see if I can use the .308 cam with my round (and not have to have a custom cam made ...) Thanks! |

Marty, Here's some drop data for some standard 308 loads, 1000' elevation, 2.6" sight over bore. As always, these are approximate, etc.

Zak - Thanks, I was using 175 SMK, 2" over, 200 zero, but found that I had my MV set too high compared to the Leupold M3 turrets (Precision Rifle forum in Armory). Mainly interested how my trajectory matches that of commonly used BDC cams to see if existing scopes could be used with my new round(s). Looks like the .416 version with a 350 matches the 308 168 trajectory out to 500 or 600 yards. Not shabby for a big bore .... |
