How should I mount an ACOG TA01 on a 16" SS ADCO DMM4

If I use the carry handle that I already have, it will be at the correct height to take advantage of it's BDC for XM193- which I currently have around 750 rounds of.
If I use a flattop mount, I can get really close with M855, but I don't know which flattop mount is best for the money- A.R.M.S. #19 ($150), LaRue ($125) or the TA51 ($35 on EE) ???

any suggestions?

BTW- I do have a standard FSB.

The CH will work fine, especially if you're on a budget.   It may feel to high for a comfortable cheek weld, so experiment a little to see what works for you.

Keep in mind that a QD is much quicker to remove if your optic fails-  And if you do remove the CH, then you have no BUIS (or can you still see through the Acog's channel?  I don't think you can).

I'd suggest a QD mount directly on the flat top with a BUIS.   You're BDC won't be that far off, you'll should still get minute-of-man no problem.   Whatever combo I use on a particular weapon, I have a little laminated chart taped on the stock to remind me.   And now, which QD to get?   That's way too easy.

has it ever shown you it's purple side? or, is that just an effect of camera flash.  I really did have a castle nut on an old XM177 that WAS purple...

A 0.9" difference in sight-over-bore makes less difference than going up 5000' elevation

I will NOT be going lower than 600 feet above sea level or over 800 feet above sea level.  Yes, I do know where I am

So, were you responding to Kisara or telling me something?  I'm not sure.

I think I'm going to go with the carry handle method.  If the cheek weld really sucks, I might start looking for a flattop mount.  Another member has the standard mount for $35 shipped.

My point was to put in perspective the sight over bore difference.

To correct my conclusion, somewhere around 450 yards the SOB distance causes less difference than the elevation change.  At  short range, the atmosphere has less effect and the SOB difference dominates..  Still, it's only 1.8" at 300 yards.
