I am looking at the ARMS 22M68 mount for my COMP going to be mounted on a flat-top BM, I was not sure or quite understand the concept behind spacers, etc and whether I needed one because I don't know which application would be best to co-witness with the COMP and back up rear sight or just being able to see under the COMP to sight..thanks for your feedback in advance

Get the full or cantilever spacers.   They will allow it to cowitness with any quality BUIS you might choose.

Lumpy,

Who's mount do you use with your M2('s)?  Many thanks.

ETA:  hk, I'm sorry I hijacked your thread.  Since you have a flattop you need a spacer under the ARMS mount to cowitness your iron sights.  You want the same sight picture (and cheek weld) regardless of which sighting system you use.  The ARMS spacer you would need is the #22M68 Full Spacer or #22M68 Extension.  See this web page.  Both spacers raise the optic by 0.5".

Dang!  Now I've got to search your old posts for the thing you said that made a moderator mad.

Thanks Yellowjacket for the great link; is there a pro and con in using the full spacer vs. extension (COMP moving the sight forward)?

The pro to the ext. mount is you can do both for a while...
It can do both positions, where as the standard mount can only go so far forward.

Probably not the intended usage, but it works for me!
