I have an old Comp M that I'd like to get refinished and see if it's possible to update to the CET technology. I emailed Aimpoint several weeks ago but haven't heard back. Is this usual for Aimpoint?

Anybody know if the older Aimpoint stuff can be revamped?

I called Aimpoint this morning. They say that they can't upgrade an old sight but they do have a trade-in program. They will exchange an older sight for a new one at a reduced price. For example, an M2 will be $293.00 exchange.

Well, JT Dist has the M2 for $405, that is telling me they are only allowing $100 for the scope. Shit I'll give you $100 for a CompM if it isn't too beat up.

I'm just going to get a dual battery cap and then paint the sight with some Lauer Duracoat. That ought to make it as good as new.
