Mounting an Aimpoint on the hump of a RASII? Your recommendations please. TIA. |
Perhaps you could explain this BS, my Aimpoint appears in all respects to be mounted perfectly centered. Seems somewhere in the last 5 years or so of use by thousands and those in the military, someone would have mentioned somewhere that the "original" M68 mount set off to the side, unless this is just more direct bashing of ARMS products which for years has the standard by which all others are judged. Has anyone used the KAC low profile aimpoint mount? www.knightarmco.com/ |
The bottom cross bolt on the 22M68 does not allow the mount to sit square on the hump of the RAS II. Meaning if your looking at the mount with the rifle turned sideway the mount will sit either a little forward or a little back. |
So why would you claim above,
intimating that the ARMS mount is "defective", (to most readers, especially newbs with no prior experience) when as noted above nuthin could be farther from the truth. What do ya work for those guys over there at LaRue, or what???? IMO, "Sideways" ain't a little forward or a little back, I knew you were FOS, thanks for having the nuts to admit it. Mike ps - fwiw, I own the RAS II and the ARMS M68 sets perfectly fine on it, and it looks a hell of alot better that ugly (my opinion here) white lettered (ripped off M68 logo) LaRue thang. |
Good I'm glad you own one so do I. I guess you have a short memory, I am one of the biggest supporters of Arms products, but I no longer support the 22M68 as it is a mount left wanting in a big way compared to the LaRue. You see I really do use my gear! I also teach others how to shoot. So I really do test my equipment before opening my pie hole and stating that something works. You on the other hand do not own any LaRue products it seems. If you did, you would join the ranks of happy LaRue customers who have seen the light. I know, I know it's hard to switch over when you have good cash into a older mount design. I know it hurts to admit that your 22M68 is outdated and needs to be upgraded. But I was already in your shoes and switched several months ago to upgrading my outdated 22M68 mounts. I'm sorry your upset, I hope you can get over my stated and proven facts. Edit: Why am I having this discussion with you? Didn't you vote for Kerry?
