I have the option of mounting a Ta11 on a removable carry handle or a larue mount on a 20" flattop rifle.I know the ta11 was designed for a carry handle but I also know many of ya'll like the flattop mount. Is one way better or is it just preference?

Does anyone have an opinion?I was talked into spending over $900 for a scope after reading this sight(which by the way I love!),the least someone can do is offer me their opinion on the best way to mount it.Thanks for the help.

People like LaRue, before LaRue came around, ARMS 19 and 19S were the only game in town, other than Trijicon's own TA51.
I have three 19S and like them, see no reason to change to LaRue yet.  My next ACOG will have one though.

The TA11 is a large scope.  I dont like the feel of a rifle with one mounted on the carry handle.

Id go flat top.  I use the LaRue mount.  The Trijicon TA51 mount is perfectly servicable, but doesnt have the return to zero capability of other mounts.  Many people have used and had no problems with the ARMS 19 and 19S - others have had problems or saw the LaRue as a step up.
